A London judge moved the proceedings to October following preliminary hearings. Brand was not required to attend one of those hearings. The criminal allegations have not been proven, and the court will determine the evidence.

Brand has consistently denied non-consensual sexual activity. He has acknowledged past promiscuity while arguing that his relationships were consensual.
